My Heart In Africa

I've a reason to die
Two reasons to live
I've no reason to lie
And many reasons to love
All because of you Africa

You’ve given me friends I can keep
You’ve given me lands that I should sow and reap
All efforts are fruitful and no cause to weep
Oh! Africa more and more of you, I pray to see

I've one hope in life
And that is to make heaven
I've worked, prayed and strife
For its in Africa God is dearly worshipped

I've a reason to die
Two reasons to live
I've no reason to lie
But countless ones to love
And I can do that for Africa.

By my skin they should tell
by this vast lands they should know me so well
Nature is alive here and it cast a glorious spell

By my tongue they should know
By my blood like rivers that flow
By the moon, only on this land, it gives a glorious glow

I've a reason to die
Two reasons to live
No reason to lie
And countless ones to love

Africa you own my heart
You’re my land, my life, my house
Why won't I love to tell of your story?
Why won't I want the world to share of your glory?

I've a reason to die
Two reasons to live
No reason to lie
Many to reasons to love
Africa in my heart you come above

I don't know of lands faraway with miles
But in Africa the sun does have a beautiful smile
They know of you, because your children are bright
You have told them tales by the moon light

I might have a reason to die
Only two to live
None to lie
Countless ones remain to love
All in you My Africa
